Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that mop and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust, dirt) and wet messes (spills, staining) in one time without having to swap out devices. They also can save space in comparison to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will provide excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models that have docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, refill their water tanks and machine-wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's one of the simplest robots to set up that we've ever tested. Unpacking is simple and the quick-start guide will have you running in no time. You'll have a the complete dust bag, water tank and a hard floor.
best robot vacuum is a powerful small machine that can cleans up a mess and is a great vacuum cleaner too. The mops spin at fast speeds and can apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, making short work of dirt, pet hair and dried sticky spills. The vacuum cleaner has four power settings, as well as a selection of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app which lets you choose the type of cleaning you'd like to do for each room.
For example, you can opt for the robot to take care of a thorough clean-up in the kitchen and living rooms but go easy on the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and smart navigation tech are also excellent as the robot is capable of detecting tiny obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. The only problem is that the robot tends to hit walls and objects at full speed. However, a quick look at the cleaning history on the app will show you precisely what the robot has accomplished, where it's going, and which obstacles he has run into or avoided.
The docking station has an LCD display that displays the need for maintenance like emptying the debris and rinsing the water tank that is dirty. It is also able to mix detergent into the tank in a controlled manner with a 600ml of eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long running time. The mop can operate for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode, and the vacuum can run for 136 minutes in normal mode, prior to having to recharge or returning to the base. You can also view the entire cleaning information in the app, which is intuitively laid out and easy to understand although we would like to be able to differentiate between a mop only vacuum and a vacuum/mop clean when looking at a clean area in the history of cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's top robot vacuum and mop. This year's model has two agitators built into its mopping pad. This enhances the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction power that enables it to remove smaller hairs as well as other debris other robotic cleaners may miss.
This Roborock model, like the other two I tested is equipped with infrared and 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it get around obstacles like walls, furniture, and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by incorporating a dual camera that can detect objects and decide whether they are a wall or another type of surface. It then can alter its course automatically and clean the objects without stumbling.
It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed however, it's also the most packed with features. Its sleek angular design is striking and comes with three physical buttons. The power button, which also resumes the cleaning mop button, which doubles as a child lock and a home-button that can take the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml dustbin as well as a 200ml of water tank. The water tank is self-emptying and the bin is auto-refilling.
The only downside I've found with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if needed), it's a pain to remove the mount to wash manually. I've found that any plush carpet the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, which can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart features that include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can configure and manage these through the Roborock app that is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to schedule cleanings, track the life of batteries and maintenance on components. However, you'll have to go through a few hoops in order to enable voice control on this model, which is a shame considering the performance of this model.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop with exceptional suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and ingenuity features. Its intelligent design allows you to customize and efficiently clean while saving time.

The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first one to provide 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful choices available. Additionally the X40 is extremely quiet during operation, only producing occasional squeaks of sound when switching modes or performing self-maintenance tasks.
The X40 has an additional side brush that can be lifted and extended. This allows it to reach into corners that are difficult to reach and clean furniture that is curved like table and chair legs. It also lets the robot to reach under furniture that is low-profile which makes it a great choice for small apartments and condominiums with small spaces. The side brush also automatically lowers itself when it spots wet spots. This is a nice feature that assists the X40 keep floors safe from damage caused by repeated back-andforth movements.
Unlike other robots, which are limited to a single task, the X40 can mop and vacuum simultaneously. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors and skip carpeted areas, and vice versa. It can be controlled using the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operation.
The app is simple and easy to use and the X40's intelligent features are easy to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, view mapping and floor plans and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also keep track of its progress and notify you when it's finished.
website is easy to maintain and comes with numerous features that make it an excellent choice for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the trash bin into a 3.2 L bin, cleans the mop pads, then refills them with clean water and cleaning solution. It can also tell when the mop pad is filled and notify you before it gets overflowing, reducing the necessity for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models on the market. It does have a number of characteristics that make it stand out. The mops are equipped with a new feature called Smart DuoScrub that makes use of two mops with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly than the standard method, and it comes with the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also clean pet hair, dirt particles, and clean up spills and dirt-stained spots.
Its mops are also cleaned and dried inside the base station after each use. This is a great feature because it prevents the growth of odours and mould in storage, and also makes the mop system a lot more efficient. It's a system that has yet to be seen on other robot vacuums and mop models, and it could be a great method of keeping your home clean for longer.
There's a plethora of settings available that include the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and adjust a variety of preferences. These can be set via the app, or via buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and has a lot of options for customizing the cleaning routine. Additionally, there are numerous features that other robots don't include, for instance, the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power when it detects dust particles instead of relying on an individual setting.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most fashionable robots we've seen in the market, with metallic and white colors that is elegant and stylish. It's a little heavier than some of the other two-in-one robots in this list, at 4kg but it's not too heavy, and feels sturdy and well-built. Mopping is also well-designed, and the double rotating mops work well on hard floors as well as in corners. They can even extend up to 2mm baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice addition.
